What if underneath the broom sticks and black hats was just a woman confident in her magick?

The Resurrection of the Witch is a new documentary showcasing the stories, history, and future of the divine feminine through the lens of history’s most misunderstood mystic.

About the Filmmaker

“For centuries women are born with a power we’ve been conditioned to hide. But we don’t have to hide anymore.”

Hi. My name is Erin Bagwell and I am an award-winning documentary filmmaker, mother, and developing intuitive medium. My first film Dream, Girl was produced by an all-woman crew that premiered at Obama’s White House in 2016. My Second film Year One about surviving the first year of motherhood was an eight-time film festival select and premiered on Motherly’s social media platforms in 2021.

I’ve spent the last decade creating media to uplift and celebrate complicated, ambitious, and lustrous women. This time, I want to talk about our spirituality. If woman can’t view themselves as leaders until they see themselves in leadership positions, then what happens when all our religions iconography and power is held in the hands of men? How can women spiritually evolve if we don’t view ourselves as divine?

My new film The Resurrection of the Witch asks us to think about our history with a new lens, and open our hearts and our minds to the possibility that we might just have all the power we need inside.
