This is it (teaser for my new film inside!)
I have a big update I’m so excited to share with you. The teaser for my new film Year One, is here.
It’s one minute and twenty-one seconds of raw, emotional, and personal footage from my first year of motherhood. It’s the tip of the iceberg of the story I will share later this year in a feature-length documentary.
You’re the first person to see it, and it I’d love to hear what you think. If it resonates with you, I’d be honored if you’d share it with your community to help spread the word.
But before you click the link below, I just want to say thank you to three special women in my life for helping me make this happen. First, Tracy Chadwell the Executive Producer of the film. We first met when she made an impactful cameo in Dream, Girl and have stayed connected ever since. She believed in me and this film before I had even shot a frame. I wouldn’t be making this without her generosity and her support.
Next I’d like to give a shout out to the director of photography of the film, Mary Perrino. Mary filmed Dream, Girl with me six years ago and we’ve been working together ever since. Because of the intimacy of this film Mary stepped up a lot to help me feel comfortable enough to tell this story. She’s the kind of girl who doesn’t bat an eyelash after you’ve cried for an hour on camera. She is a rock, and I couldn’t do this with anyone else.
And finally my partner in crime in all-the-media-making-things, Diana Matthews who sat in coffee shops, answered midnight text messages, and is just generally one of the best friends a gal can have. Thank you for helping me write this story. Thank you for your honesty in making this the best it can be, and for always pushing me to dig deeper and share a more vulnerable truth. I’m so excited we get to do this together.
Now, without further ado- watch the trailer for my new documentary, Year One.
Be sure to stay tuned for more updates about the movie, including an exclusive opportunity for you to be a part of it!
Until then, thank you for your unwavering support.
Xx,
