I can't wait for next week!
Greetings!
First off, I want to thank you for supporting my Year One fundraising campaign. As an independent filmmaker I wouldn’t be able to create heartfelt content without your support. Because of you, I was able to cover the majority of my post-production costs as well as donate to 4Kira4Moms, an organization fighting for the maternal health policies and regulations for Black moms and moms of color.
Year One will be released on May 4th and will be available to watch free on YouTube for the whole month of May. Stay tuned next week and I’ll send you a link to the film and an invitation to our digital premiere party to celebrate on May 12th.
I’m also honored to announce I’ve been asked to be a speaker at The Motherhood Center’s second annual conference “Tough as a Mother: A Year in Review” on May 5th.
The Motherhood Center was the first organization to privately screen and share Year One with their community, and I’m beyond honored to share my story during the panel “PMAD Survivors: Sharing Stories as a Tool for Change.” Click here to RSVP and watch the event live on May 5th from 230-345pm ET.
See you there!
Xx,
Erin
PS- Check out this lovely conversation I had with Dr. Kira Barlett about why I felt called to make Year One, how I got the courage to ask for help on my mental health journey, and why the idea “we are not our thoughts” changed my life. Click here to watch on Instagram (12 min).
